Below please find a message from Padre Kevin Olive regarding the cut-off date of November 1st
or before for sending 'cheer' packages to troops serving in
sponsorship of soldiers in this particular arena will come to a close, we are happy that our troops
will soon return home to their loved ones.
What happens now to the Chosen Soldier project? We are looking forward to our next
Project in support of our peacekeepers serving overseas. This entails a measure of re-organization as
we seek new military liaison contacts, and their addresses. Expect to hear more about the continuation
of the Chosen Soldier Project in March 2014 or before.
Please let us know if you wish to sponsor troops serving in a peacekeeping role overseas, and we will place
your name on a reserved sponsor waiting list.
The good news about FREE shipping of 'cheer' packages to
Canada Post that commenced on October 15th. Please send your 'cheer' packages to Captain Kevin Olive at
the address below.
Thank-you sincerely for your past support. Your have excelled in bringing much needed 'cheer' to our troops
and in making the Chosen Soldier project a positive, successful outreach program.

Good day from
My name is Kevin Olive and I am the Task Force Chaplain for our last Canadian Mission in
I just wanted you to know, that after Nov 15, no more mail will be delivered to those of us still here in Kabul. The main reason is that we are very rapidly drawing down and by the middle of December a larger portion of the troops will be on their way home. Basically, our postal services will no longer be functioning in theatre after that date.
Just wanted to pass on our appreciation and to keep you in the loop.
Thank you for your tremendous support!
Padre (Captain) Kevin Oliveć
